Apple's tiny 120v to USB chargers are elegant, if you have a receptacle handy to plug one into.
My wife used to charge her old cell phone on our bedroom chest of drawers, and we wanted to reproduce that situation with her iPhone. An extension cord solved the problem, but it was brown and not at all elegant draped on top of the chest.
Then I realized we could hang the extension cord behind the chest. So I bought a white extension cord, which looks nearly on purpose. Hung down the back of the chest, it takes up no room on top and is nearly invisible.
