FaceTime Across the World

Post by Stephen Hart » Sun May 27, 2012 11:21 am

On the old forum, there was a thread about FaceTime.

Today, we got a call from our son Robbie, from Paris. He was outdoors in the square in front of Notre Dame initiating a FaceTime call from his iPod Touch to my iPhone, both on WiFi. It worked like a charm with essentially no detectable delay.

In addition to the obvious, FaceTime can be used to show things other than your face to the person on the other end. I showed Robbie a new tile floor in our entry way. (Exciting, eh?) You can, of course, turn the phone around to do this, or you can use the Switch Cameras button.

Works with iPad too.
