Early Adopters

Post by Stephen Hart » Mon May 16, 2011 8:27 pm

There's a short, interesting piece in the May 16 New Yorker, by James Surowiecki, on early adopters, mentioning iPods and Dropbox. Seems Americans, from long ago, have been early adopters, often of sketchy and expensive technologies.

I'm not sure what's up with that particular issue of The New Yorker having three articles of interest to SMUG members. Here are two others, mentioned on page one of this SMUG thread:
"The Fun Factory"
Life at Pixar.
by Anthony Lane
in the May 16, 2011 issue of The New Yorker

"Creation Myth"
Xerox PARC, Apple, and the truth about innovation.
by Malcolm Gladwell
in the May 16, 2011 issue of The New Yorker
"Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works."
Steve Jobs
