Answer calls on your Mac

One new feature of "Continuity" is that you can answer iPhone calls on your Mac. This isn't too important to me, but it may be to my wife, who doesn't always carry her iPhone.

You need to sign in to your Apple ID in FaceTime.app.
Then you need to pick a ringtone. I suggest an alert tone because they're shorter. The first time my Mac rang I nearly jumped out of my chair, and the ringtone kept going after I'd answered on my iPhone.

And if you want to make calls--and you're using Yosemite beta--this might be handy. (I know nothing more about this than what the site says.)
