At least once a day I get an ad in my email INBOX trying to sell me software. In most cases I can download the application for a reduced price as compared to buying a DVD version which has to be manufactured and shipped.

I always select the download option and then burn the program to a CD or DVD.

Apple didn't invent downloading a program it just made it a whole lot easier.

Er, no one ever said the Mac App Store was your only option.
