Printer Epson Stylus NX510

Post by Gary Velie » Sun Aug 25, 2013 8:58 pm

Every time I attempt to print I get a dialog box that states, "rastertoescpll quit unexpectedly" I have done a restart and it still does not work.

Did not work. The website says to use the apple menu and get software updates. The reply is that there are no updates. Epson does not supply a driver on their site. They direct the user to the apple menu. What is next?

A simpler solution from another forum:
Open System Preferences and select Sharing
If the computer name listed at the top of the window is empty type one in.
Restart
Try printing again
Drivers here:
https://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/sup ... e=Overview

By the way, if a fix works without downloading and installing the drivers again, I'd stop there. I once had a printer that wasn't working. I downloaded the driver package and ever after, Software Update told me I had to download the drivers again.

Write back if none of this works.

Thank You Stephen Hart. It works! I did not have to download any drivers. I just opened Preferences, filled in a computer name, restarted the computer, and VIOLA the printer works just like it always has. Thank You for your assistance.
