Help! Power Book g4 OS needed...

Post by georgeandjolie » Mon Aug 26, 2013 7:05 am

Does anyone know of an Install Disk for a g4?
I have a newly acquired 12" PB without a 10.5 operating system.
The generous member who gifted this to me recommended that I
contact the club members for this one time usage.
I would be most appreciative.

Another alternative I should have mentioned is that if you can find someone running OS X 10.5.x, and they don't have sensitive data on the Mac, you could clone that drive to the PowerBook G4, then set up a new account and delete the old one. More fuss, but it'd work.

There are some clowns on eBay asking in the $90 range for a copy but there are also offers in the low $20s. It's a last resort but if you have to buy a copy in the mid $20s that's not so bad.

Problem solved:
Apple support/sales is sending out the OS
for $17.34 tax included and free shipping with 3mos. of support.
Apple is very good in their consumer relations!
Thanks for attempting to help.
