iOS 6.1.3

Post by Stephen Hart » Tue Mar 19, 2013 10:58 am

6.1.3 fixes a security bug that could allow someone with physical access to your iPhone to access the phone app.

This is for iPhone and iPad. You can get the full installer by plugging into iTunes. You can choose to download only and install later. This is recommended so that you can restore the device should you ever have to.

You can also download on the device. This is much faster to download, but if you ever have to restore the device, you'll have to download the updater(s) first.

Unfortunately, the update for iPhone and iPad apparently don't share anything, so you have two two-hour downloads...

Apple could make this smarter. After all they want people to have several iPhones and iPads in a family.

And in case you want to update two iP[x] synced on two different Macs without downloading twice, the updates are saved here:

user library > iTunes > iPhone Software Updates [or] iPad Software Updates
