Keyboard recommendations

Post by Photo Jeanne » Wed Jun 06, 2012 11:45 am

Ok, I'm tired of typing on my iPad. What are the recommendations for a keyboard? What brand? Something I can get locally?

Thanks, all. :)

See this thread: ... ired#p2693

I think it all depends on how much typing you expect to do and what other Macs you regularly type on.
If you have a MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro or an iMac with the standard Apple BlueTooth keyboard, then I highly recommend that you buy an Apple BlueTooth keyboard. I love mine.
As I noted in that other thread, I had no problem pairing my keyboard with my iPhone while sitting in front of my iMac (with which the keyboard is paired). My wife's MacBook Pro, about three feet away also has the same keyboard, and we've never had any problems.

OTOH, if you're using one of the older battleship-style keyboards, and love it, and you make a living at Medical Dictation, and therefore type at 100 wpm, there are many third-party BlueTooth versions.

(There are raging arguments discussions on Macintouch about keyboards.)
