Cracked iPhone5 Screen

Post by jhaney54 » Sun Nov 09, 2014 12:39 pm

My wife cracked the screen on her iPhone5. We are new to Sequim so have no idea where we can get that fixed locally. Any ideas? Thanks.

At the moment, there's no one on the peninsula that does iPhone repairs. (There might be in the future, see this SMUG thread: http://www.straitmac.org/phpBB3/viewtop ... 1710#p6364)

Apple has a flat-rate out of warranty repair policy, as well as a flat-rate replacement policy. If you bought the iPhone on a credit card, it may well extend your warranty by one year.

Right now, the best bet would be to ship the iPhone. In addition to Apple, there are many third-party repair places.

If you want to drive it in, the Tacoma Apple store is the quickest to get to, about 2 hours. Lynnwood requires a ferry ride, and takes a bit longer. The University Village store is the largest FWTW.

Our club Vice President, Chris Clem, works on IOS devices. You might contact him. His email address is christopher.e.clem@gmail.com. He might save you a trip to Tacoma.
