How do I remove/delete an App from my iPhone?

Assuming that it is not one of the apps built-in to the operating system, just press and hold the icon until it jiggles. Then tap the small x to delete the app. Lastly, press the Home button to stop the jiggling.

The built-in apps, like Contacts and Calendar, cannot be deleted ... so the icons will not have that small x.

You can also remove an app from iTunes > Apps, and from your iPhone by selecting your iPhone in the sidebar, then clicking the Apps tab and clicking Remove.
Or you can just leave the app in iTunes, but make sure its icon in the Apps tab for your iPhone says Install. That indicates that you still have the app in iTunes, but it's not installed on your iPhone.

If there are iOS built-in apps you don't want to see, you can move their icons to a new page at the end of the list of home pages.
