Hoping to find an answer to my iTunes question

Hi,
My name is Jen. My mom Jolie Will, referred me to this group. So said there are some amazing minds in this group, so hopefully someone can help me solve my issue.

I want to be able to view my iTunes playlists on a computer at work. Anyone know the steps needed to make this possible? I have enabled home sharing with both computers and is logged in under her iTunes account on the work computer. Although i am logged in, i don't see the music and playlists available on the iTunes accessed from work, that i do i my Mac laptop at home.

Secondary question-does home sharing only work if you are literally on the same network?

I think that's right. I don't think you can sync playlists just by logging in to the same Apple ID.

However, if you sign up, and pay for, iTunes Match, all logged in Macs and iOS devices should sync.
