If all you need is to extend the range of your wi-fi network, this Netgear wi-fi booster coming out may be the low cost ticket. It won't give you all the varied functionality of a $99 Apple Airport Express on your Airport wi-fi network, but at about half the cost it may be a solution for many. Supposed to be in stores by end of summer for around $40.
