Leaking capacitors

If your G5 iMac fails to startup this is likely the cause. Leaking capacitors. Red arrows point to capacitor failure. Cost to repair this is around $800 as a local Mac user found much to her unhappiness.

Alternatives:
New iMac $1199
New Mac mini $699
New MacBook or Air $999

Also, some folks have bought caps and repaired the boards themselves. This requires the capacity to solder capacitors.
