Phishing Season is Back

Post by Stephen Hart » Tue Apr 10, 2012 9:17 am

This from Macintouch today:

There have been a ton of these phishing attacks over the last week or so. Newegg, Apple, Verizon Wireless, all showing you've made some outrageous charge and offering a link where you can "correct" the problem. This is more spam/phishing since I've seen in a long while.
Another company mentioned in such scams is US Airways.

In addition, the old-timey Fedex Phishing scam is back.

I've received an unusual amount of "Nigerian" bank transfer scam e-mails recently.
