Myway browser

Myway has taken over my firefox program--any suggestions on how to remove it? I've googled it and follwed the directions swith no success

A quick search didn't find any safe or easy way to remove this adware extension. I suggest you do not install some other app to remove this malware. I'll have to leave it to others to really answer your question.

However, it seems that Myway does not infect Safari, so as a first step, I suggest you switch to Safari.

This set of instructions looks safe, though it is generic to all adware.
If you're already aware of how such malware gets on a Mac, you can skip the lecture at the beginning.
Though Myway does not appear to infect Safari, it's not a bad idea to follow these instructions to delete any extensions you didn't install on purpose. You should only have extensions you deliberately installed, and usually from the Safari Extensions pages at Apple.
This page also gives instructions for removal of adware from Firefox, Chrome, etc.
Sophos is a legitimate anti-virus company.
