I believe phpBB has "themesstyles." As I recall, it's relatively easy to change from one theme style to another, but difficult to do much tweaking of the themesstyle.

The theme we selected was a compromise. I liked this one for its Armageddon look.

Whereas Ray liked this one because it touched something deep inside him.
