Stab from the Past

Post by Stephen Hart » Sun Jan 03, 2016 5:40 pm

We watched the film Cannery Row last night, and Karen wanted to show our son and daughter-in-law our copy of Between Pacific Tides*. Out fell an early version of my business card... with a CompuServe address!

I created the icons in Illustrator, did the layout and typography in PageMaker--all on my Mac, of course--and had the cards printed locally.

* Coauthored by Ed Ricketts, the model for Doc in Cannery Row.

[Yes, there are cartoons playing on the name: Canary Row, starring Tweety Bird and Sylvester Cannery Rodent, starring Tom and Jerry.]
