Mac Mini and PS13

Post by jeanne » Sat Jan 17, 2015 1:53 pm

I'm thinking of getting PS 13 to do some publication work. Anyway, if I order it according to Amazon, i'll come as a
DVD, needless to say, the Mac mini doesn't have a slot for DVD's or CD's. Does anyone have a suggestion how I could
put PS on my system? I don't even own a CD player anymore.

Do you mean Photoshop Elements 13?

Try this Amazon link.

The more general answer is yes, you can use DVDs with any Mac that doesn't have its own DVD drive. Most any external DVD drive should work (including Apple's elegant $79 superdrive). You'll see Remote Disc as if it were a mounted disc on your Mac. Another Mac on the same network with a disc drive will work as the Remote Disc drive. See the image below.
