Mysterious Excel (XLSX) file

Post by ninahaggerty » Sat Jan 10, 2015 3:51 pm

A mysterious excel file has appeared on my desktop. I can't open, move or drag it to the trash. It is not my file. Has anyone experienced this, or knows of something like this? I'd like to delete it and I don't know how.

Thanks in advance!

Go to your Apple Menu and drop down to Force Quit...
Force Quit: Finder
Restart your computer

Likely temporary files created by Excel.
This is where I'd normally write an impressive summary of my skills and proficiencies.
