White Bluetooth Keyboard with Numbers won't turn-on

My old White Bluetooth Keyboard with Numbers will not turn on after replacing the batteries. I have tried several sets of batteries and have correct orientation on the batteries. I have cleaned the contacts (they were lightly discolored but not serious). The little pin sized LED should light up after new batteries, but this is not happening. Any clues?

Did the keyboard work previous to your battery issue? No liquids spilled on the keyboard? :D
I would test the batteries in a flashlight/volt meter to make sure they work then switch the power button off and on a few times.

Here's another tip:
Put the batteries in and then look to see where the last one is located. Is it contacting the, er, contact? On some keyboards, the spring fails, and the batteries just rattle around.

Did you hold down the ON button until the flashing light turned solid?
