Here's a question I asked on Macintouch, with a number of replies. SMUG members might also have some thoughts.
Interface Thoughts

Stephen Hart
After reading two articles in the May 16 New Yorker -- Gladwell on XeroxPARC (B, IMO) and Lane on Pixar (A+ IMO), I was thinking that it's interesting how early science fiction writers missed the graphical user interface, instead imagining computers experts who read, write and maybe speak assembly code.
So it occurred to me to ask the vast MacInTouch community about the earliest sci fi novel that includes a graphical user interface as we understand it today.
