August 3 Meeting in Sequim

Post by Ray Bentsen » Wed Jul 27, 2011 5:53 pm

Ray Bentsen will present a slideshow introduction to OS X 10.7 Lion.

The presentation will describe some of the 250 new features (not all of them), including AirDrop, Versions, Launchpad, and Mission Control.

The presentation will conclude with time for a hands-on demo, as well as the answering of questions.

Color commentary to be provided by Lion beta tester, Rick Johnston.

See you there !!

This should be a good meeting. Rick never told me a thing about Lion while he was working with the beta versions, but I was able to capture a photo of him working with the program when he was in his barn.

This is just another reason why you have to be a BIG man to work with beta programs.

I can't help mentioning one of my favorite documentaries, Fast, Cheap and Out of Control, by Errol Morris.

It features four men, one of them a lion tamer. Kind of weird, but highly recommended.
