December 4, 2013 Wed in Sequim

Post by JerryFreilich » Sat Nov 30, 2013 2:37 pm

Please join us at our upcoming meeting next Wednesday December 4 in Sequim at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on 5th Ave at 7 PM for another one of Ray Bentsen's ever-popular updates on everything Apple. Ray will present three slideshows that give an overview of the newest Apple "iThings" ... iPads, iPhones, and iPods. The slideshows will include information about the new iPad Air, iPad Mini with Retina Display, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, as well as the entire family of new iPods. As usual, refreshments will be provided and questions will be answered as time permits.

Many of us are still fumbling around with Apple's latest operating system for the Mac (OS 10.9 called "Mavericks") so we will probably discuss this as well. Craig Gottschalk will update us on Apple corporate news. And as always, refreshments will be served.

As we head towards a new year, it is once again time to share the duties of running the club. If you have been attending meetings for some time and the club has benefitted you ... please consider volunteering for one of these posts. Specifically .... we need to have new folks bringing our monthly refreshments. The current group of people have been doing a great job as a committee and that is fine. But we need to have at least two new volunteers helping with food... specifically to replace Jolie Will in Sequim. We also need a new vice-president in charge of finding and scheduling meeting speakers for the year. Our members will know that I've been the club president for the last five years... and I am willing to do this again if necessary. But it would also be good to take a break from this and have someone else take over for a time.

See you on Wednesday and bring a friend!
