Safari Website Settings

Post by Stephen Hart » Sun Apr 07, 2019 9:48 am

We ran into an odd issue yesterday with Safari.
We would open a page--on a forum somewhat similar to the Straitmac Forum--but instead of seeing the various messages, the screen would flash and a plain text version of one of the messages would appear. It looked like it was instantly (or at least quickly) redirecting to another page.
The plain text looked like the message editing mode for the forum.

After determining that this didn't happen in Firefox, we looked around and found that we'd somehow set Safari's Settings for This Website to Use Reader when Available. Switching that off fixed the problem. We hadn't deliberately ticked that box, so we don't know how it got ticked.
