Swift Playgrounds

Post by Stephen Hart » Mon Sep 12, 2016 3:35 pm

I was just looking at Apple's page on Swift Playgrounds. It reminds me of using the charming book Elementary Pascal to learn some Pascal programming for a class at Peninsula College. Pascal was designed to help guide students toward efficient programming, as opposed to Basic, which allowed anything, and some say let students develop bad habits.
(I had earlier learned some very basic programming in a language called Focal.)

I may well download Swift Playgrounds and, er, play around a bit.

Swift Playgrounds will include new material teaching people how to write programming for drones, robots, and similar electronics.
