how to delete Achieve mailbox on MAC

My MAC archives every e-mail I receive on my gmail account. how do i turn this off of delete the folder.

If you want to receive and read gmail in Mail on your Mac, but don't want to keep copies, you can do the following:

1. Remove any Mail Rules that move incoming gmail to other folders. That means all gmail will stay in the inbox.
2. When you're done reading a gmail, merely delete it.

I don't use gmail, but I assume you can access any of these deleted gmails by way of a web interface.

If you do want Rules to sort incoming gmail, you can later delete individual gmails or groups from whatever folder they are moved to.

If you don't want to read gmail at all in Mail, go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and uncheck Enable this account.
