Start up in Single User Mode by accident

Post by Stephen Hart » Thu Nov 15, 2012 8:01 am

This will start the Mac in Single User Mode, turning your Mac into a 1970s-style computer.

Press a Mac's power button at the same time you press an Apple Wireless keyboard power button.

If you do this by accident, you could get a rude surprise. Nothing bad happens, and it's easy to go back to normal.

As the Apple article points out, it's not necessary to power down your keyboard.
