"Running Apps" markers....

Post by JerryFreilich » Thu Oct 24, 2013 8:18 pm

I see I'll have a new pet peeve in Mavericks. The little white markers in the Dock used to show when applications are running have been reduced from little white dots to VERY THIN white bars. I can imagine Jonny Ive or whoever was responsible for this stupidity arguing to he was blue in the face about how the little "visible" dots were not within his aesthetic range... and how, if they were reduced to almost invisible white bars that they were much cleaner design. Nowhere did anyone challenge the Great Master to think about the fact that these white bars may be USEFUL if you could SEE them!!!!!

I can see them and I like the way they look. But I'm looking at them on a 24.5" display. On a smaller display it might be a problem.

Reducing the dots may have been in response to complaints about the dots of yore.
