Anyone can view Straitmac Forum postings, but in order to be able post a reply to an existing topic or start a new topic, you will first have to register. This one-time process starts by just clicking the Register button at the top of the page. Note that once you register and log in, the button will no longer appear.

At the next screen, you must click the button indicating that you agree to the Forum Terms.

Then, from the next screen (as shown below), just fill in the boxes, choosing a Username (first and last name preferred) and Password. Notice that whenever you type your password, the screen will display one large dot for each character typed ... this is normal (and for your protection).
Note: You are being asked for your e-mail address because the registration process requires sending you an activation e-mail. The e-mail activation step cuts down on "spammers", who don't like to identify themselves with a valid e-mail address. Also, the e-mail address that you provide will not be available for anyone else to view, unless you indicate so in your User Control Panel profile.

Once you have answered a Security Question, just click the Submit button.

By the way, if you want to print these instructions, just click the printer icon above and then choose the Print command from your browser's File menu.
