Some points:
System Preferences > General > Use Dark Menubar and Dock
System Preferences > Accessibility

QuickTime Player treats iPhone as video camera, and does real-time mirroring.
Connect iPhone with USB
QuickTime Player > File > New Movie Recording > Dropdown arrow
You can make a split screen effect, with an iPhone showing on the desktop. Optional: record for later editing and showing

The esc key brings up a QuickTypelike list of potential next words. Click it once, don’t hold it down.

A couple of people at the meeting asked how many offices I've held in SMUG, and by implication how long I've been involved.
I have SMUG documents going back to 1989. I was editing the newsletter in 1992. I think I've held every SMUG office one time or another.

Someone at the meeting asked how to change the default font size in Notes.
This page, though out of date a bit, seems to still have good advice.
If you still need help on this, post on the SMUG forum and I'll walk you through it.
