Re: Log in Automatically?

Auto Log-in is NOT working for me. Although this is not a big issue it is a minor annoyance. I think we should use this as a quick test of our new board-hosting service. It should be a straight-forward issue and I don't see why it should be difficult to solve. I am also interested why Jay's configu...

Re: Log in Automatically?

When I first checked the forum this morning, I had to log in again, but now I'm staying logged in. I may have caused that by trying out being logged in on both the iPhone and the iMac. I could have sworn I saw a delete key on my posts yesterday, but I don't now. The "Keep Logged In" option is only ...

Nifty Complement To SmartCover

Although Apple's new SmartCover for iPad2 has some great features, it offers no protection for the back of the iPad. XGear has released a nifty product called SmartCover Enhancer. It's a thin but very robust molded plastic cover for the back of the iPad and it doesn't interfere in any way with the S...

Re: Log in Automatically?

In Safari, have you gone to Preferences and given Safari permission to save and automatically load usernames and passwords? By default this option is OFF. If you turn it on, the first visit to a website will elicit a drop down box asking you if you want to save your username and password. If you cli...

Re: Log in Automatically?

Yah, we've been working with this program (phpBB3) for less than a week and I must say I'm most impressed. Compared to JForum, it's easy to administer for the Webmaster and Moderators and has a lot of useful features for the members. And it's FREE!

Re: Log in Automatically?

Actually, Richard at Olypen must have talked to Ray...not me. And this is exactly why we opened an account with Olypen. A quick call to their tech support and things were put in order.

Re: Log in Automatically?

I can confirm that. I guess Ray was able to root around in our bowels and fix things.

Thanks Ray!

I bet there's a flag that needs to be set somewhere deep in the bowels of phpbb.
If there's anyone more qualified to check our bowels than Ray, I don't know who it is.

Re: Log in Automatically?

Ray, after thinking about your explanation I tried an experiment. I logged in to this forum and then went to Safari's Preferences/Security and looked at my cookies. As you can see, this forum did NOT leave a cookie. I bet that's why when I leave the forum ( without logging out) I still have to log i...

Re: Log in Automatically?

Thanks for checking into this for us, Ray. It's a little thing to have to click the LOGIN box each time you visit. It's something I can live with.
