Re: Why Firefox, Ray?

I mean do you like the iOS version of Firefox to other iOS browsers? Yes, although the syncing does not change the existing bookmarks in iOS Firefox, but rather provides a folder labeled "Desktop Bookmarks". And on the Mac, the iOS bookmarks are in a folder labeled "Mobile Bookmarks". With two Macs...

Re: Why Firefox, Ray?

Interesting. I think I'll download it and give it a try.

One more question. Since it syncs with the iOS version what do you think of that. I mean do you like the iOS version of Firefox to other iOS browsers?

Why Firefox, Ray?

I'm starting a new thread so as not to clutter another thread in this sub-forum. Our webmaster, Ray Bentsen said he's now using Firefox as his primary browser. So if you don't mind Ray, what prompted you to move to Firefox?

I still use Safari as my primary browser with Chrome as my backup.

Re: Apple reduces price on iPhone batteries

Apple Stores appear to be doing this, but may put you on a wait list. (I haven't seen any indication that Apple will do this by mail, let alone with "express" service (where they replace your iPhone, place a hold on your credit card, and you send yours back). Actually, you can mail it in. Apple wil...

Wanted: iPod Touch

I have a friend who would like an iPod Touch to load with bird and flower apps for his walks. Do you have one sitting around somewhere not doing anything? If so, would you be willing to give it a good home? This senior would take good care of it and use it for his daily (almost) walks in the Sequim ...

Re: Internet provider

I think Rick Johnston uses them so try contacting Rick. But Stephen is right you have to be under their umbrella of coverage which varies considerably based on topography and distance from a repeater. They have maps online but I think you can call them and they'll let you know if they can provide se...

Re: Strange New Error Message

OK, but it was that simple? No lost preferences, or strange behavior? (I mean strange behavior on the part of the Mac, not the user.) ;) All the strange behavior and hiccups went bye-bye in the new account. And yes, I did have to reset Preferences in all my programs but that didn't take any time at...

Re: Strange New Error Message

Is it as easy as dragging your folders? I seem to remember in the past that you couldn't do that, and had to jump through hoops. I was too casual with my language. While in my old account I copied what I wanted to a USB drive. Then I logged in to the new account and moved the files from the USB dri...

Re: Strange New Error Message

Something else I just noticed since creating a new account on my MacBook... a couple of problems in Photos have disappeared. It was easy to work around these problems with a mouse click or two so I didn't think much of it. And Safari had started acting stupid but not stupid enough to get worked up o...

Re: Strange New Error Message

I don't know why I didn't think of this before. I've done nothing with this problem because the only alternative I could think of was to reformat the hard drive and start from scratch. That would mean reloading the MacOS as well as all my programs. The time involved was just too much. But last nigh...
