Re: Mail in inbox gone after upgrade

Eureka! After some experimentation, I clicked on Mailbox and found the Rebuild option for inbox. And the same for sent. All is now well.

Mail in inbox gone after upgrade

After upgrading to El Capitan (which was successful), I discovered that all the mail in my inbox was deleted. I was starting fresh apparently. Any suggestions on how to restore what was in the inbox before the upgrade. Thanks.

Re: Flash removal

You are right. It is a lost cause. My solution now is to arrange another photo at another time.

Re: safari

Thanks for the tips. What finally seems to work is to go to Preferences and set the new windows and tabs to homepage, quit Safari, restart the computer and voila, it's back to the way it was before Mavericks.

safari

When i start up safari, it opens automatically in full screen and shows the sidebar. I would like to start up not in full screen and hide the sidebar. So far, I can only accomplish this by exiting full screen and hiding the side bar each time i start up safari. Any clues?

Re: Time Capsule Backup

Stephen,

I guess where I stand now is to find out if anyone has experience with the sparse bundle issue; otherwise, I will proceed with the messy solution I have now to deal with the problem. Many thanks for your thoughts. Dick

Re: Time Capsule Backup

Steve, Thanks for the quick response. In answer to you, our two Mac's are connected to the Time Capsule through a local network to which the Capsule is connected via ethernet to the router. Whether either Mac is awake or not does not seem to matter when a backup is scheduled. When I get the error me...

Time Capsule Backup

Every now and again I get the following message upon which after a considerable effort I manage to overcome. It would be nice however to have a simple fix for this problem.
