meeting suggestion
At the last two meetings that I attended, I overheard a lot of discussion about photography during the break. I would like to suggest that we have two meetings on that subject. One for amateurs - how to use IPhoto etc, and one geared toward advanced amateurs on how to use photoshop/Aperture etc. Is ...

problem solved
FYI Two weeks ago I asked for advice on why my IMac had trouble going into sleep mode. A week later I wrote that my keyboard was giving me problems. I did buy the Apple wireless keyboard and paired it with my IMac on Monday and then I got rid of the original USB keyboard. It has been three days now ...

Re: keyboard problem
Thank you for the suggestions. I didn't know the keys popped off so easily. I cleaned as best as I could but to no avail. The keyboard is 6 years old and came with the IMac. I've been eyeing the cordless keyboard for some time, so I'll order one. I already have the magic mouse and I love it. Ron Weh...

keyboard problem
All of a sudden my keyboard started giving me problems. When typing, the space bar does not work, also the right shift key does not allow me to type capitals while the left one does. The "caps lock" key also allows caps to be typed. It is a corded keyboard on a 6 year old IMac. I took the back off a...

trouble sleeping
I have a 6 year old IMac that is running Snow Leopard. I only shut it off when I am away for extended periods. I put it to sleep whenever I am finished checking email, etc. by going to the apple and clicking on "sleep". Within the past 4 weeks, I have been having trouble getting into sleep mode. The...

Re: Time machine and external hard drives
Thank you, I am very surprised at the quick reply, only 8 minutes. I had read something on a forum that suggested it was possible for TM to back up an external disk but I wanted to be sure. I am not interested in upgrading the internal drive, to complicated for me. My IMac is 6 years old and I would...

Time machine and external hard drives
IPhoto is taking up 139 GB of my 250 GB hard drive which is now 84% full (210 GB used) It seems to be running slow. I am planning to move IPhoto to an external hard drive (1 TB) to free up space on my IMac 10.6.5. I have just purchased a 2TB time capsule that I will use for backup. My question is: W...
