Re: Weird problem

I have followed both of the above responses and everything in Previous recipients and my address book are correct. This problem started after my initial contact with her. Could it be that her computer contaminated mine and if so what can I do about it?

Re: Weird problem

We have been corresponding only for the last two days. On the top of my incoming mail is a list: From; Subject; Date; and To. Mail that I receive from her have all four columns correct. It is the mail that I receive from others that list her name with my email address in the "To" column. To make thi...

Weird problem

I have Wavecable service and Apple Mail version 4.6. Two days ago a friend of my wife called and wanted to get together when she came to Seattle. We exchanged emails and I have emailed her telling her about the shuttle service to and from the airport. Since then all of my new mail is addressed: TO"h...

blocked plug ins

I've had my Imac since 2006 and am currently running 10.6.8. Recently I've been getting "blocked plug in" notices. I don't remember changing anything. What can I do to avoid this?

Re: Migration assistant

I just found out what was wrong. When I tried to delete the new admin account that I had created, it was also grayed out. Then I checked the box "allow user to administer this account" and now everything is working as it should. I had considered myself an administrator, so had not checked it earlier...

Re: Migration assistant

I created a new admin account, signed in and still can not access the ron'simac account. I think I'll put this to rest by deleting everything in that account and then ignoring it. If I still need a password, I'll create a short one that I can live with. Thanks for your help, your instructions were p...

Re: Migration assistant

Another thing I should mention, yesterday I was able to login to: system > accounts from either account with the appropriate pass word. Today I can only login to it using the ron'simac account and password. The "guest" accounts migrated over from my iMac.

Re: Migration assistant

The account listed as: ron'simac (admin) is the one that I migrated from my iMac. ronald wehner (standard) is the one I'm trying to keep. If I remember right - both were listed as admin the other day.

Re: Migration assistant

This isn't working for me. I opened the account that I want to keep, I went to system preferences > users and groups. I opened the lock to allow changes but I cannot click on "ron'simac" (the account I want to delete) It is grayed out. I've tried this from both my preferred account and also the acco...

Re: Migration assistant

Thanks for the reply. My main concern was getting rid of that 2nd window. My Imac is still up and running and everything is backed up, my Iphotos are on their own separate hard drive. I really have very little to transfer. I think I'll delete the second window and transfer what I need via flashdrive...
