Finder Sidebar in Snow Leopard

Is there a way to increase the size of the folder titles (font size) in the Finder Sidebar for OS 10.6, Snow Leopard ; not the icons/font in the window of the finder, but the sidebar on the left side of the screen? I know this could be done in Mavericks (10.9) via system preferences>general etc. I h...

Re: Email problems iOS 9

I recently had this problem with my olypen account in setting up mail on a recently purchased used iPad. It is a pop account and I kept getting the message that it was not seeing the pop3.server. I physically visited olypen downtown Sequim and the tech solved the problem by switching the ports that ...

Re: Library Donation

I think this is a valid use of our club funds. We shouldn't expect to have a free meeting place. As stated our tax dollars do not meet the needs of the library. The library budget assumes there will be donations. We have an excellent library system-let's support it. We contribute towards the wear an...

Re: Custom Mailbox

Thanks Ray for your help. I sort of arrived at this same conclusion. Having said that, the quote in my first post is taken directly from the iPad manual (on-line) for iOS 9, put out by Apple support. It says I can CREATE a new one (mailbox). This is under the heading of "Organize your mail with mail...

Re: Custom Mailbox

I have been here. I click "Add Mail" but that only adds the mailboxes I have selected above, in the bubbles: nothing comes up to allow me rename or add a custom named mailbox.

Custom Mailbox

How do I create a custom mailbox within Mail for my olypen account, as opposed to my icloud account? I tried to follow the instruction manual directions which says to, "Tap edit in the mailboxes list to create a new one, or rename or delete one." I hit edit and get a list of mailboxes, but nothing t...

Re: Text on a picture

I have used Preview and it is simple and easy to use to create a slideshow with captions/text/titlesl

I have also used PowerPoint when I wanted to add music.

Re: Eject CD icon?

The process on how to add the icon is stated in Stephen's referenced URL. Attached, I hope is the location sequence. If not, it is System>Library>Core Services>Menu Extras>Eject.menu.

Re: Bing Streetside Car Spotted

I saw it on Bell Hill, Sequim. I think I am in the picture (or my truck) as I was approaching a T-intersection. I thought it was Google at first and then later saw it in the Sequim Safeway parking lot and I could read the Bing logo on the door of the car.

Re: Upgrade Safari??

Probably you will only be able to upgrade to OSX 10.6.8, Snow Leopard. I am on an old laptop running Snow Leopard and Safari 5.1.10 and this is the highest OSX (and Safari) that I can use, according to Apple. I get messages from websites saying that I am using an old version of Internet Explorer (I ...
