Re: BlueTooth Goes Missing

Repairing permissions used to solve issues like this; usually repair permissions followed by a restart.

Download Log

In Snow Leopard, where do I find the log of downloaded/installed files? I would like to find the log entry for the latest security update that I downloaded. My software update says I am current, but I want to compare what is on this computer with another computer. I have looked in the System Profile...

Flip4Mac

I was recently asked a question about WMV videos not playing in a Mac that is running Lion. I advised the person to download Flip4Mac. I was informed they had looked into that, but they had to buy the program. This had not been my experience. I run Snow Leopard and have a free download of Flip4Mac. ...

Re: Opening cwk document in PAGES

In answer to your specific question: cwk is the extension. I am not familiar with ClarisWorks, but you need to know whether this is a spreadsheet file or a word processing file, i.e., Excel(Numbers) or Word (Pages) type of file. From the gist of the subject line, I suspect the file is a word process...

Remove Boot Camp Partition

I want to remove Windows and the Boot Camp partition from my MacBook Pro that is running OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger). I installed this in 2006. The instructions that I saved tells me to run Boot Camp Assistant. I select BC Assistant and get a message that says "Boot Camp Assistant Beta has expired" and won...

Re: Junk Mail Font Color

Stephen, You are correct, but the tricky part was that the change wasn't under the tab labeled "Rules". It was a rule change after clicking a secondary button under the "Junk Mail" tab. Sometimes Apple's logic seems a little off. To me, I want to change the color of a font. The first logical place I...

Re: Junk Mail Font Color

Thanks Jay. I did not know about the check the "Perform Custom Actions" button. At first I didn't think this worked. I followed your directions exactly and nothing happened; the junk mail font color didn't change. However, it changed when new junk mail came in.

Junk Mail Font Color

Is there a way to change the font color in the Junk mailbox in Snow Leopard Mail? The default color is a light brown and, I think, is hard to read.

Re: ALL IMAGES in Finder

Don't delete! I am new to Snow Leopard and found the "Search For" section in my Finder sidebar and I still haven't figured out the value of this section, especially, the "All Images". To hide this section, or parts of this section, go to Finder Preferences>Sidebar and uncheck the items in the "Searc...
