Re: Goodbye To 32-bit Applications

It's sometimes a pain to find a replacement for an app that's no longer being updated. But sometimes it works out for the best. Case in point the painful transition I made from QuicKeys to Keyboard Maestro. Now that I'm adjusted to the change, I use KM extensively.

And here's a guide to creating ringtones in GarageBand in iOS. It's even a bit simpler in iOS as you can Share the audio as a ringtone.

Re: Importing CD's to macOS High Sierra iMac 10.13.3/Desk Top

I think I posted on this before, but can't find the topic. Our 2010 27" iMac had a bad internal disk player. I did a lot of searching and couldn't find a replacement. Our 2014 27" retina iMac didn't come with a disk player. So I bought an Apple USB SuperDrive for $79. It works perfectly, looks as if...

Numbers 5 Question

Here's a Numbers question I haven't found an answer to:

I have a table and a graph, with dates (date format) on the x axis.

Is there a way to add a notation to a date? Say I want to highlight one date with a very short note.

Re: Pop-ups? Anti-virus apps?

Thanks Stephen. The Macworld article was quite informative. BTW, the last time I complained about DSL, the tech walked out to his truck and brought in a new modem, a few years newer than the one I had. I expect DSL modems are one of those things, like inkjet printers, that it's best to replace ever...

Re: What's New in iWork v7.0

Pages now has enhanced ebook capabilities. It's not up to the level of iBooks Author, but it can export epub files with more features. Maybe Apple will gradually add all of iBooks Author's features to Pages.

Re: Pop-ups? Anti-virus apps?

on-line update of our modem What does that mean? The only thing you can do to a modem (I'm assuming you mean a DSL "modem") is update the firmware. And no one can do that online unless you give them your modem's password. Which you should never do. Is it possible you downloaded and installed some n...

Re: Maps

the Rolling Stones sounded great! I was just listening to Apple Music's Stones Essentials a few evenings ago. OTOH, we have four-foot-tall Speakerlab corner horns, and no near neighbors. :) I wonder if Apple will either make or license the technology to someone who can make an active passover for o...
