Was it from Pages telling me the file was old and should be updated? Yes. I've seen that message before when using just Pages. That is to say, you have the current version of Pages as the default app for Pages documents. So the current version tells you to update. I guess that if you had the older ...

SPAM

This spam was kind of amusing. Weirdly, the attachment was a pdf, and there was no link to click in the email. (I didn't open the pdf to see if there was a live link there. Of course, the From address was not Apple.
