Re: DiskWarrior 5

Stephen, help me out here. There's something about this that I'm not understanding. I have a 750 GB external drive (pulled from a MacBook Pro) that I would like to use as a Disk Warrior 5 volume... and also as a way to install or reinstall Yosemite. I am not clear how to proceed. Right now, the exte...

Re: Annoying glitches in Yosemite

Thanks Richard and Jay. As in my previous post, YES, I have now deleted my keychains and I'm gradually returning to each site and place I visit and re-entering my password and username for each. The sites do not remember my login. So that next time I come back to the site, after quitting Safari, I a...

Re: Annoying glitches in Yosemite

The Keychain is now correctly saving passwords. Safari's prefs pane shows that they are saved. But each time I quit Safari and then open it again... none of those sites open showing me logged in. In each case I must type a letter, click on the Keychain "please fill in" box, and then log in. This is ...

Re: Annoying glitches in Yosemite

Thanks guys for all of these very helpful suggestions and hints. So here's where I am now.... I found that the particular passwords that would not delete from Safari just happened to be passwords that Keychain showed as being under the iCloud tab. Now why is that? I suspect that any effort to delete...

Re: Annoying glitches in Yosemite

No and Yes. No, I don't use 1Password or any other thing to manage passwords (except Apple's Keychain... which is also on my "poor software" list). And Yes, I have turned off "autofill passwords" etc. etc.. Yes, I've already used "Clear Safari History" which is not nearly as thorough as the old "Res...

Re: Annoying glitches in Yosemite

I went into the Safari Preferences panel and tried to delete all my existing passwords. I deleted roughly 50 such passwords without incident. BUT, interestingly... the ones in this screen shot will NOT disappear and when I select them one-by-one or as a group, the Delete button doesn't work. This te...

Re: Annoying glitches in Yosemite

Good idea, but no joy. I've tried just about everything I can think of now. Just everything. I think that there might be some corrupted files related to Safari because Chrome seems to handling things just fine... as they have always been for me for the last 20 years or however long OS X has been aro...

Re: Annoying glitches in Yosemite

OK, here's another question for you. How does one download a clean new version of Safari 8.0.2 ? One would think that Apple's website would be of some help? Apparently not. They steal defeat from the jaws of victory.

Re: Annoying glitches in Yosemite

So now what do you make of this? It seems that Chrome is capable of remembering me from visit to visit but that Safari cannot. Ideas"

Re: Annoying glitches in Yosemite

I just don't get it. This isn't working. Have logged in and out of iCloud Keychain. Have logged in and out of iCloud. Have "Reset Safari" a number of times. Have checked the Safari settings panel that says "AutoFill User names and Passwords." All to no avail. Each time I visit a website I have to lo...
