Re: Sequim Sunrise Rotary Club donates iPads

It would be great if someone could get this content to the Sequim Gazette.

Maybe someone could even get some photos of the iPads in use by the students.

Re: Boost volume on a video for iPhone?

Audacity is an open source sound editor that should do the job: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Just open the file to be edited (from iTunes is an option) and then choose Amplify from the Effect menu. (see screenshot)

Re: Safari's arrow for previous page - disappeared

Kirsten, Go to the View menu and choose Customize Toolbar... You should see a dialog box like the one below. Then, just drag the arrows in the dialog box to wherever you want them on the toolbar. While there you can also drag off icons that you never use, and might even find some other icons that yo...

Re: Log in Automatically?

Well, I think I have the answer to the DELETE issue. We all need to remember that this software has a really good FAQ section, something JForum didn't have. So I went to the FAQ and read about editing and deleting a post. It seems that phpBB3 will only let you edit a limited number of times and you...

Re: Sample Post

Yeah. The movie plays right inside the post window when using Safari.

However, nothing happens when I click the link when using Camino, Firefox 4, OmniWeb, or Opera.

I can't explain why, but I suspect that it has something to do with installed plug-ins.

Highlighting

O.K. Now let's try highlighting some text using the recently added Highlight button.

The Highlight button works just like the other style buttons ... just select the text that you want to highlight, and click the button.

Sample of image tags: 8-) It would be nice to be able to embed video. O.K. Jay. Let's see if I can embed a short .m4v video here (after changing a setting in the Admin panel): Smart Cover.m4v FYI, the size limit is currently set at 5 Mb. The group of currently acceptable extensions includes m4a, m4...

Re: Log in Automatically?

As Jay and others have already discovered, the issue got fixed over at Olypen a few hours ago. The problem was, in fact, the cookie settings in the Forum software. Until now the cookie settings did not reflect usage of our new domain ... http://www.straitmac.org. Now, if you login with the checkbox ...

Re: Log in Automatically?

My understanding of this issue is as follows: The feature is supposed to keep you logged in the event that you quit your browser (without logging out) and then restart your browser at a later time. This is supposed to be accomplished by creating a "cookie" in your browser, that in our case is a .oly...
