Re: Importing CD's to macOS High Sierra iMac 10.13.3/Desk Top
It should work ... I just added a CD yesterday using High Sierra. I presume that you are importing commercial CDs. Right? Does your iMac have a built-in optical drive, or is it an external drive? If external, it does need to be plugged into one of the rear USB ports. Have you tried more than one CD?...

Re: Maps
Let us know what transpires at the Apple Store. I would be interested in knowing what AppleCare covers in your (heavy duty cycle) circumstance, if anything. What would Apple charge you to repair your current iPhone, and how did the AppleCare coverage affect that charge? Like, what would the charge b...

Re: Maps
Interesting question. I don't see any option to add side trip directions to either the Mac or iPhone/iPad versions of the Maps app. I would suggest that you either create separate sets of directions for each segment of your trip in Maps (your home to mall, and then mall to Tacoma), or just use Mapqu...

Safari Reader Mode (Command-Shift-R)
With Safari 10 and 11 (in macOS Sierra and High Sierra) you can make many website articles much easier to read ... without seeing ads and other stuff. It does't work with all websites, but I have recently discovered that it works with many. The feature is called "Safari Reader", and is activated wit...

Re: Argg Moving Folder/Files from iCloud Failure
Richard, I performed the same sequence of steps as you indicated, but mine outcome was as might be expected. On my iMac, I first added Desktop and Documents to my iCloud Drive (first screenshot), and then used Command-I to get size info for iCloud Drive. (second screenshot) Then, I dragged one 2 Mb ...

Re: Finder has pinwheel of death
Stephen,
What is your opinion of simply going to the App Store and then downloading and re-installing the most current OS? What would be the concern in this case?

Re: Finder has pinwheel of death
The reason that I asked about HOW you changed your Apple ID, is that there is a correct process so that things don't get messed up.
The instructions are located here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202667
Hope all turns out well, whatever steps you took!

Re: Finder has pinwheel of death
Several thoughts occurred to me when reading the original post: 1. Exactly how did you change your Apple ID, and why? Since an Apple ID is used to keep track of all synced data, including iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases (both Mac and iOS), not to mention syncing the iCloud Photo Library ... ...
