Why not consider the 21.5" iMac? It's big enough for me, and I won't feel as bad replacing it after two or three years either! The first photo is one of my current 21.5" iMac. The label on the right of the display is to remind me where the SD slot is, so I don't put an SD card into the DVD slot ... ...

One thing that needs saying is that option one only indicates the cost of the adapter. You would still need to buy an HDMI to HDMI cable. A 25 footer from Radio Shack runs about $69! The composite cable in option two is only abou 5 feet long, so if you need a greater length you will have to add that...

Several options. If you have a newer TV with an open HDMI port, the all you need is an Apple Digital AV Adapter ($39) For a TV with open composite inputs (red, green,blue) get an Apple Composite AV cable ($39) Another option is an Apple TV, if you have an open HDMI port and a wireless home network.(...

I just downloaded a shareware program called "Duplicate Annihilator" from: http://www.brattoo.com

It analyzed my iPhoto library of 1884 photos in about a minute and actually found a duplicate. (see screenshot)

Very cool.

Can you scan for viruses on another hard drive volume, or another Mac if connected via Firewire target mode?
