Re: Problem with Java

BUT for now I'd like to defer more work on this issue in this Forum - so as not to abuse potential helpers such as you, Jay. (Thanks - I really a...

Re: Problem with Java

On Safari

I want to add a thought - don't know if this might possibly point to an answer.
I noticed this window under "Security and Privacy"

Would I not expect the app "LA Viewer" to appear here?

Problem with Java

After the latest Java update there has been a general problem using the Danish archive site, which I use all the time. The archive posted that they were aware of the problem and were working to fix it. My sister in Denmark (using PC) can again access documents on the archive's website. There is a no...

Re: Put names on a map

Thank you once again, Stephen,

I think I'll look at iBooks Author some time just for fun - and otherwise I'll plug along with Pages which I navigate pretty well by now.

Re: Put names on a map

Hello Stephen, I just discovered that you had made yet another entry to this thread. I think my output format will be paper. I have had too much experience with electronic stuff becoming obsolete - I still have on my laptop Leopard OS and lots of Appleworks documents. Whenever I need one of them I g...

Re: Cannot open .pdf

Thanks, Stephen, I have already tested from my sent e-mail and gotten confirmed as well from another friend (also with a Mac) that she had no problems. So, I shall refer my friend to your excellent (as usual) answer and hope something becomes clear. (How many times have my posting started with "Than...

Cannot open .pdf

I sent a .pdf to a friend with a Mac.
She says she couldn't open it.

Is there a simple thing I can suggest to her as being the problem?
