Re: Locate MAIL on back-up drive - how to...

Thank you everyone, I am really touched by all the helpful thoughts and suggestions. I have to choose a path of less resistance... I have decided for sure that the effort needed for this far exceeds my available store of energy. Kind Jerry, this isn't worth any more of your time and effort either. W...

Re: Locate MAIL on back-up drive - how to...

Thank you, everyone. I checked with my server and it turns out that anything I delete from my MacMAIL gets deleted on the server as well. I am giving up on this. It requires too much of me, given lots of other projects that have popped up all of a sudden. I will gradually get the missing information...

Re: Locate MAIL on back-up drive - how to...

I use Super Duper version 2.6.4 for back-up. Yes,I have looked in Mail's trash and I have searched both in MAIL and in Spotlight. I must have accidentally option-deleted the messages in a rash moment. They are not to be found. I guess I need to learn how to index the external drive... (Shudder...) M...

Locate MAIL on back-up drive - how to...

I seem to have deleted a group of e-mails I wanted to place in a folder to work with them more easily. Some of them were rather important. They were all from the same sender and therefore easy to move as a group. It seems that rather than moving them I did them in because they are absolutely nowhere...

Re: in MAIL - how completely delete?

Richard, Thanks for this Mail preferences info. Useful additional point. I changed setting a bit, but for now I like the idea that deleted messages go to trash and complete deletions get accomplished with option delete. I like the safeguard of trash - and I also like knowing where I can make choices...

in MAIL - how completely delete?

I thought I had picked up a great tip on how to delete an e-mail completely as opposed to having it land in the MAIL trash. The tip was "shift-delete". It doesn't work, but I would sure like to be able to distinguish when I delete an e-mail so that I have choice of complete delete or land in trash t...

Quicken Essentials - scheduled transactions

How do I see a list of my scheduled transactions? March scheduled transactions are not showing yet on regular account register - that's okay. However, I'd like to be able to choose to have a look at what is scheduled. I don't see a way. Filters seemingly cannot be set to show scheduled transactions ...

Re: Quicken Essentials - account print

Thanks, Rick, but no, the category summary isn't what I am after.

I want to print all entries in an account, to create the equivalent of a checkbook register.
I want to see one line per account activity (without showing the details whenever an activity is split into multiple categories.)
