Re: Add Image to PDF

I used to be able to export images from PDF files to Photoshop and even edit text to some extent with Acrobat Pro. That was several years ago and I'm guessing Acrobat Pro has changed since then. If I remember correctly you can add or remove a page to a multipage PDF file but I don't believe there is...

Jay, Do you really need a wired keyboard for this? I thought Apple solved that problem.
I'm guessing the wired keyboard suggestion is for those using a non Apple Bluetooth keyboard but I haven't tested it.

How to make your new Mac bootable from an external drive

“Apple’s security processor gets in the way when you’re trying to [boot from] external drives,” William Gallagher writes for AppleInsider. “Fix this now because if you wait until you need to restart from one, you’ll have problems.” “By default, Macs with the T2 processor will not boot from an extern...

Re: Considering new Mac Mini

The new Mac mini doesn't have a SD card slot like some previous versions had though the System Report clearly shows it has one... Screen Shot 2018-11-15 at 8.38.59 AM.png I had to purchase a card reader for the new Mini as my new Nikon D500 takes XQD and SD cards https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....

Re: Considering new Mac Mini

Thanks, I have been eyeing the OWC Mini stack with its USB-C connector. As a serious amateur camera guy and sports photographer I average 50,000+ photos a year. I keep my Photos library on an external drive and because drives are so cheap I just buy a new one every year and keep the old drive as an ...

Re: Considering new Mac Mini

Appears that upgrading RAM in the new Mini is a bit complicated, I'm not scared.

Re: Considering new Mac Mini

The new Mini has a couple of USB ports and 4 USB-C ports. Do you have any suggestions on a USB or USB-C hub?

Re: Considering new Mac Mini

Or maybe you could build your own enclosure and buy the parts: https://www.powerbookmedic.com/MacBook-Pro-iSight-Camera-p-18045.html I do have an original Firewire iSight camera around here somewhere. I'm thinking the cost of adapter cables along with the low resolution would make it not worthwhile.

Re: Considering new Mac Mini

I bought the LG 32UK50T-W 32" Class 4K UHD FreeSync Monitor instead, $350 on sale at Costco. A few more inches. Mini arrives on the 7th. I'll purchase a couple of USB-C drives, one for applications and files and one for Time Machine. I'll give it a couple of weeks before upgrading the RAM to 32 Megs...

Considering new Mac Mini

I'm considering the new Mac Mini to replace my aging iMac. RAM appears to be upgradeable after purchase which is a huge selling point to me. I see that Costco offers the Dell 27" Ultrasharp Infinity Edge monitor for $299, appears a perfect fit for Apple's newly announced Mini. https://media.wired.co...
