iOS 12 Password Management

After years of steadily absorbing features like suggesting strong passwords and remembering the ones you've got, iOS 12 now gives back to password manager developers. The new AutoFill lets your third-party password manager be on tap in more places and much more easily. https://appleinsider.com/arti...

iOS 12.1 beta

Most importantly in this [iOS 12.1] beta, we are seeing the return of Group FaceTime. This was removed early on in the iOS 12 development cycle and Apple has quickly brought it back. Group FaceTime may be important for some, and at least fun for others. https://appleinsider.com/articles/18/09/18/io...

Re: iPhone Capacity

At any rate, I decided to downgrade from 256 GB to 64 GB. Worst case, my current usage will fill only half my iPhone's capacity.

Re: iPhone Capacity

I guess I don't have a lot of big apps.

That's odd: I just checked on my iPhone, and it shows 29.5, quite different from what iTunes shows. But still very small compared to the total capacity.

iPhone Capacity

I'm wondering how other SMUG iPhone users are managing the storage capacity of their iPhones. To my surprise, I have barely more than 17 GB used on my iPhone X, and that includes a long HD movie, several audiobooks and plenty of selected photos.

I'm always ultra cautious about recommendations because what better way to disguise adware than in an app that claims to remove adware? Here are three articles worth reading. Two articles that mention a fraudule...

Sync Audiobooks in iTunes 12.8

I added a couple of audiobooks to my library in iTunes recently and then went to sync them to my iPhone. But I seem to have lost the view that lets me put a check mark on audiobooks I want to sync. I ran a sync and one of the two new audiobooks synced, but the other one didn't. I solved the problem ...

Re: Tabloid Inkjet Printer

Very helpful, Jay.

This is for Karen to work on music scores. She sometimes needs to scan and modify them, and they're almost universally bigger than 8.5x11. Our current inkjet is getting long in the tooth, so I thought we'd replace it with a tabloid size.
