Re: Co-joined iPhones and Lost Contacts Data

Regarding Question 1: To begin, and to be on the safe side, I would begin by using the Contacts File menu to choose Export > Contacts Archive on your iMac. This will create a file that will at least restore your Contacts to the way they are now (by just double-clicking it), in case the process below...

Re: Co-joined iPhones and Lost Contacts Data

Regarding Questions 2, 3, and 4: Possibly you have some contacts added into an iCloud account and some into "On My Mac". Having contacts in "On My Mac" may even be leftover from the days before iCloud! Check the sidebar in Contacts on your Mac to see if you have both. My guess is that at this point ...

Re: Finder Link to Item in Books.app

Why not just have a duplicate of the file on the Desktop ... and not mess with an alias?

Re: Dashboard Weather Widget

While on the subject of weather, I really like Forecast Bar for both Mac and iOS devices. On my iMac and MacBook Pro, the current temperature (with hourly updates) is displayed in the menubar, and clicking there provides easily readable information for the next week (see screenshot). Yes, there is a...

Re: Download. .csv. Numbers. IOS

Karen, From your screenshot, did you tap on the share option (the box with the up-arrow), and look for the "Save to Files" option? You may have to do a sideways scroll to see that option. I am not sure what app you were using to take your screenshot, but if you could manage to e-mail the .csv file t...

Re: 'Sideways' screen function

Yes, whenever you use Control Center it is easy to accidentally touch one of the buttons. To access Control Center on an iPhone 6S under iOS12, just swipe upwards from the very bottom of the screen. By the way, I would suggest that a "swipe" on an iPhone or iPad is more of gentle slide of the finger...

Re: Photos App

I use the Noiseless CK extension all the time to eliminate "noise" from both scanned photos and from photos taken in low light. I also use the Pixelmator extension once in a while for "Photoshop" type corrections. Below is an example of a Noiseless CK extension window, showing the original scanned i...

Re: Numbers calendar help

Formulas can be figured out once the "hidden cells" are made visible. So, the 25 in the previous post is the day taken from the date calculated by "12/1/18 + (1-7)" ... in other words, the date six days before 12/1/2018 ... the 7 indicating that the first of the month occurs on the 7th day of...

Re: Numbers calendar help

My takeaway from this is just how powerful Numbers is as a spreadsheet application! Yes, this document can be used to print a paper calendar for a selectable month and year. Pretty amazing. I am still trying to figure out how the formulas calculate the correct date for each cell ... like how is the ...
