Re: Apple reduces price on iPhone batteries
I emailed my AppleCare contact who handled the whole process asking him why I got a refurb rather than just the battery replacement. He did some checking and got back to me with the following... When they were doing the battery replacement they ran a lot of diagnostic tests and found that some compo...

Goodbye To 32-bit Applications
A recent article on CultOfMac says that Apple will not allow 32-bit applications to run on the MacOS after High Sierra. Apple has already notified developers that they need to update their older 32-bit apps to 64-bit ASAP and Apple has stopped accepting new applications for sale in the App Store if ...

Re: Apple reduces price on iPhone batteries
Strange things happened. On the morning of 4/09 I received an email that Apple had received the iPhone and the replacement battery would be installed soon. Then on 4/10 I received another email telling me that my "product" had shipped. But my iPhone had gone to CA and the product was shipping from P...

Re: Apple reduces price on iPhone batteries
Just a follow up to what's been happening. I requested a new battery at the reduced rate on 1/22/18 only to be told that they were out of replacement batteries and I would be contacted as soon as new batteries were available. On 4/4/18 I received an email from Apple telling me that they had new batt...

Re: Why Firefox, Ray?
I mean do you like the iOS version of Firefox to other iOS browsers? Yes, although the syncing does not change the existing bookmarks in iOS Firefox, but rather provides a folder labeled "Desktop Bookmarks". And on the Mac, the iOS bookmarks are in a folder labeled "Mobile Bookmarks". With two Macs...

Re: Why Firefox, Ray?
Interesting. I think I'll download it and give it a try.
One more question. Since it syncs with the iOS version what do you think of that. I mean do you like the iOS version of Firefox to other iOS browsers?

Why Firefox, Ray?
I'm starting a new thread so as not to clutter another thread in this sub-forum. Our webmaster, Ray Bentsen said he's now using Firefox as his primary browser. So if you don't mind Ray, what prompted you to move to Firefox?
I still use Safari as my primary browser with Chrome as my backup.

Re: Apple reduces price on iPhone batteries
Apple Stores appear to be doing this, but may put you on a wait list. (I haven't seen any indication that Apple will do this by mail, let alone with "express" service (where they replace your iPhone, place a hold on your credit card, and you send yours back). Actually, you can mail it in. Apple wil...
